陈鸿宇

Not having been taught the regal language of the Chinese I cannot tell you what the name of this band is. For that same reason I cannot explain to you what the name means nor can I decipher the title of their albums. All of the lyrics are sung in the native tongue of the Asian Dynasties...or from wherever they hail from. The only information I have is vague at best: the genre they specialize in is one or a combination of either C-pop, Cantopop and/or mandopop. As such these songs are my first exposure to any of the three. I have grown to enjoy the foreign languages I hear in opera, regional music and anything else featuring the unfamiliar dialect. Most likely this is the result of continued exposure to the music of Sigur Ros. 陈鸿宇, obviously, does not sound much like Sigur Ros but I certainly don't hold that against them (him? I jes donn naw) If you see things the same way I recommend the two albums by 陈鸿宇 that are available on Spotify. I apoligize for not taking the time to cut and paste the Chinese characters that spell the records' titles. It's not that I'm lazy but I got other things to do, you know?

Update: After doing a tiny bit of research I've leaned that 陈鸿宇 is a man, not a band.
